Families Served -- 388
The Jackson-Greenfield chapter of Friends of TIPS sponsored two events for families during 2005.
The Spring event was held at WTSD in May. Approximately 120 people enjoyed activities that included train rides, a bouncy house, and food for all.
In October, Friends of TIPS sponsored a Family Day at Crenshaw Christmas Tree Farm and Barn. Approximately 300 people attended and enjoyed a petting zoo, wagon rides, pony rides, games for all ages and lots of great food.
Another project of Friends of TIPS was to help some of our less fortunate families with toys and clothes for their children during the Christmas holidays. United Way of Benton and Humphries counties donated money to help support the lending library to those areas.
